I’m certain I’ve said this many times here, you can find art anywhere, all you need to do is be aware and look everywhere. You don’t need to travel, you can find it in your own back yard. Cemeteries are a great place to see sculptures, but you have to find the older parts the modern tend to be dull blocks of granite. Not to belittle a life, but an ornate sculpture in place of a slab seems more like a continued celebration of that life.
Last December I came across some art, literally in my backyard. As destructive as the ice storm was, it did leave a pretty picture for awhile, at least until the weight of the ice began to break branches and trees, and leave thousands in the dark for many days and weeks in fact.
