And one more, I wasn’t sure about this one would qualify, it’s three photo’s of the same little girl, but it tells a story of not just of a child at play, but how it seems like one child can be in three different places at once.
When I was a child I would make my own paper dolls from magazines and mix match the clothing styles, so I was a bit excited at finding a fridge magnet version. The only two I could find at the time were fashions from 1967 to 1970, and the other from 1990 to 2000, so there was bound to be a bit of a mess of styles, but I’ve had some fun, and actually I think I could get away with some of them.
There’s a touch of the punk and goth in my style now, but my fashion taste now tends to borrow from styles from the first five decades of the 20th century, still mixing it up.

Thirteen years ago I, at the recommendation of a complete stranger, picked up a book that would eventually re-ingnite my imagination, bring me back into photography and inspire me to write and even to make up my own stories. I’m not a very good writer but I refuse to give up on it.
The Harry Potter books brought me to the online sites where I met with some people that have become friends in real life, in particular the two I with which I drank a Butterbeer with while taking a break at the Harry Potter Studio Tour, in October 2012.
While we may have moved on from our love of the books, we three still chat, (online), and every year we meet up, (despite the distances that keep us apart, sometimes going a little holiday together). I keep my cup as a little reminder of our friendship’s beginnings.
It’s a wet day for a nice wedding…
Wandering through Paris I came across a small wedding party, too happy to let the weather ruin their day.
With the 2014 Winter Olympics about to start in less than a week from now, I thought I’d share a pic from the promotion for the 2012 Summer Olympics. I came across this by accident, on my way to the National Gallery, and when I came to Trafalgar Square I noticed something a bit unusual happening there, the amount of, and type of, cameras sort of gave it away. I made my way past the crowd, to the Gallery and from there watched the media chat with one another, promote the Olympics, and wait for a lone man, with the words “abolish money” on the back of his jumper, to cause some trouble. He didn’t, instead he just wondered about, stopping to listen quietly to interviews going on.
I’m in two minds about this upcoming Olympics, while I wholeheartedly support the athletes, of all competing countries, the politics of the games tend to put me off.
One of the many things I love about Iceland, is that you can see the land changing. This walking/cycling path appeared quite recently made yet as I turned a corner I soon realised that I would have to take another route, or start swimming.
